The Viennese Waltz is the formal name of the waltz brought by Johann Strauss, also other versions of the waltz include American Style and International Style or the British Style. Generally, the International Style has a faster tempo with a limited number of dance steps, and the American style has more variation and may be slower in tempo. Slower or faster it wont matter which kind of waltz you pick up, if you want to know waltz you should plan to spend time in lessons and practice, because waltz is simple to learn but difficult to master.
